If you’re looking for an affordable chassis system for a precision rifle build that is scalable and capable for heavy competition use, we recommend the KRG (KINETIC RESEARCH GROUP) line of Chassis systems. In particular, the KRG BRAVO CHASSIS. The KRG Bravo can be found online for under 400$. The chassis uses an aluminum bed, wrapped in a polymer skin, that is not only durable, but pleasant to hold in adverse conditions in particular, the cold. https://kineticresearchgroup.com/The KRG Bravo accepts chassis weights if you’re looking for a means to balance the rifle. The fore-end accepts weights using M-LOK attachment points on both sides. The buttstock can accept steel weights also doubling as a length-of-pull adjustment. The chassis has a few pockets in the chassis including the pistol grip, that you can add additional weights or spare parts such as cleaning supplies or oil. The chassis accepts standard AICS pattern magazines. WOMEN AND SHOOTING
When you purchase the basic Bravo, it does not come with the ARCA plate in this picture, or the forward bipod attachment point called the “spigot mount.” We recommend either the slim “mini-spigot” mount, or the dedicated ARCA spigot featured in the picture below. Both spigots serve you well and leave nothing to be desired. The difference between the two, would be that you need a set of bipods with a mount that can be used on either ARCA AND PICATINNY(RRS), or just ARCA(KRG, AREA 419). I have had very good luck with both. I prefer the look of the skinny mount and the RRS bipod adapter.
KRG BRAVO CHASSIS
As seen in this picture, this KRG Bravo is fitted with fore-end weights, ARCA PLATE, ARCA spigot mount, and a set of ATLAS CAL bipods fitted with an ARCA mount. All together it is a premium package that wont break the bank. Some other scalable features that are worth looking into would be the enclosed fore-end for the Bravo chassis. This provides more spaces for weights and allows you to utilize a longer ARCA plate for bipods to be rapidly adjusted to suit the position to which you’re shooting from.
